About CloudAGI

Cloud Agent General Infrastructure. A marketplace and protocol for the agent credit economy.

The Origin Story

CloudAGI started at the Nevermined Autonomous Business Hackathon in March 2026 at AWS Builder Loft San Francisco, organized by Nevermined, Bond AI, and Cerebral Valley.

The hackathon concept was straightforward: build agents that make real economic decisions and transact with each other. The tech stack was A2A protocol, x402 payment standard, and MCPs. By the end of the weekend, CloudAGI had completed 21+ purchases across 5 competing teams.

The validation came fast. Every engineer in that room had Claude Max, Cursor Pro, Codex, and Amp running simultaneously. Most were using maybe 30% of their total allocation. The idea of routing tasks through someone else's idle session — without sharing credentials — and settling payment via HTTP-native USDC was immediately obvious to everyone who heard it.

After the hackathon, the V1 credit probe CLI was built to detect installed agents and show actual waste. Integration with OpenUsage for credit tracking followed. Now the protocol is being formalized into Local AGI — the open-source runtime that powers the marketplace.

The 0G Foundation partnership opportunity ($380M raised, $80M builder grants) gives CloudAGI a path to decentralized compute infrastructure. The direction is a protocol, not a platform. Open source at the core, marketplace on top.

The Mission

Make agent compute a liquid market. Sellers monetize idle capacity without sharing credentials. Buyers access compute on demand without full subscriptions. Settlement is instant. The protocol is open.

Protocol Principles

No Credential Sharing

Proxy execution means the seller's API keys and session tokens never leave their machine. Buyers get task output. Sellers keep full control.

Instant Settlement

The x402 protocol (HTTP-native payments by Coinbase) means payments settle in seconds, not days. No invoices, no escrow, no waiting.

Open Protocol, Not a Platform

Local AGI is open source. The credit metering and proxy execution runtime is something you can inspect, run yourself, and contribute to.

Built in Public

CloudAGI is being built in public. The GitHub is open. The architecture decisions are documented. Nothing about the protocol is a black box.
